The Americans

Was enjoying working my way slowly through this one. Then I just stopped. I realised when listening to others talk about it, that I had stopped at a point that is fairly universally considered a bit of a slow spot for the series. That spurred me on to give it another go, and I've now watched it through to conclusion. Boy am I glad I watched it through to the end. It ends in such a satisfying way, building to a number of moments that bring some of these characters and the tension between them to a closure. I was going to say 'satisfying' closure, but in some ways you're left wondering how the characters continue on, and I feel a bit sad that I'll never know. Recommend it, and I recommend pushing through the lull in the middle.
